Pangolin, small mammal on the verge of extinction

The pangolin, a small mammal native of Africa and Southeast Asia, are under threat of extinction.

The small animal is popular in the cuisine of countries like China, Indonesia and Vietnam and smuggling is precisely for these countries over the years, there were only 8 species whose reproduction is difficult.

The species has been treated by Heather Sohl, WWF representative organization dedicated to the protection of endangered species, such as "the animal most trafficked in the world."

This year, the Photography Prize Wildlife of the year, as highlighted by the BBC, was for Paul Hilton: the photographer captured in a single image about four thousand of these small dead mammals, rolled on themselves.
