Praia - 30 October - The University of Cape Verde (Uni-CV) starts on Monday, a preparatory training to enable mathematics teachers in teaching strategy and exploratory learning, aimed at opening the Geogebra Institute at the University.
The event, which will take place at Palmarejo Campus will be initiated by a conference entitled "Towards a education of a renewed mathematics: Technologies, Informatics and Mathematics".
The UniCV informs the way you set for Geogebra Institute of Cape Verde, will develop a teacher training plan to promote the use of free software in the different levels of education.
The creation of Geogebra Institute, like the creation of that body in Portugal and in other countries, provides that students can get modern and appropriate resources for the study of mathematics, and thus they can improve the process of teaching and learning.
The GeoGebra is a free software that will allow the student to explore, conjecture, validate, understand and communicate geometrical concepts in an interactive and attractive way.
The main purpose of the training is to develop mathematics, teaching and curriculum expertise, particularly in the field of geometry and technology where learning is to take the focus of the educational process, supported by information technology.
