Cape Verdean stylist Josefa da Silva opens parade at Fashion Week in Accra

Mindelo - 9 October - Josefa da Silva, 28, a Cape Verdean designer living in the United States of America, has opened this week one of the parades in Accra Fashion Week in the capital of Ghana held from 5 to 9 October, where she presented her autumn collection to various personalities of the country.

This is one more step in the career of the internationalization of this Cape Verdean woman, born on Fogo island and emigrated to the United States when she was 17 and today, with 28 yeras old she is a reference in the fashion world.

Invited by Accra Fashion Week, organizer of the event the young designer and fashion disigner presented her collection for many personalities of Ghana in an event that also included the participation of other designers around the world.

Josefa da Silva has won her place in the fashion world, and has had the opportunity to present her creations in some shows in Miami, New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

In February 2015 she set up her first store in the city of Boston with clothes all created by her with the help of other designers. Store is highly recommended by customers from the USA, Africa, Brazil and Portugal.

In 2013 she founded the "Cabo Verde Fashion Week", and she has designed clothes for national and international artists such as Miss Universe, Leila Lopes, dancers of the American singer Usher and singers Blaya, Nissah Barbosa, Jennifer Dias and Neusa.
